Lynn began Vet Nursing in her home town of St Annes in Lancashire, England. She immigrated to Australia with her husband David in June 1989, and commenced work at Waverley Animal Hospital in September 1990.
Lynn is now the Practice Manager, and loves a chat with all the clients that she has got to know so well over the years. She has a very placid ragdoll cat named Saffi who is still being terrorised by Remi, her Italian Greyhound.
Lynn and husband David have two sons – James and Daniel. They enjoy going out for meals, picnics at Jells Park, and going away for holidays
Vicky joined the Waverley Animal Hospital team in August 2011 after spending six years at another Melbourne vet clinic where she gained her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Outside of work, Vicky enjoys reading and going horse riding
Melanie completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in June 2016.
Melanie lives with her boyfriend Daniel and their three cats: Centaurus, Phoenix and Aurora. Outside of work Melanie enjoys shopping, going to concerts, playing guitar and seeing family and friends.
Anne started work at the Waverley Animal Hospital in March 2003 on a part time basis. She worked in public relations for eight years prior to taking time off to become a mother. Her daughter Claire has grown up with an array of pets including birds, rabbits and reptiles.
Anne lives with her husband, Steve and dog, Buddy. They love spending their weekends motorbike riding, socialising with friends or going away to the country.
Jane began her career working for a stock broker at the Old Stock Exchange. She gave up work when she had her first daughter and was a stay-at-home mum until after son Ben and daughter Nellie were born. With the kids at school, Jane began working part-time for her brother-in-law, who owned a large boarding kennels in Glen Waverley. She was a receptionist and bookkeeper here for a number of years, often filling in full-time while her sister and brother-in-law took holidays. It was at the kennels that Jane met Dr Chris Hardham, who was the attending vet at the time.
Jane commenced work at Waverley Animal Hospital in February 1992 as a receptionist and veterinary nurse, and has been with us ever since! She now manages the accounts, as well as continuing part-time reception work.
Jane’s hobbies are painting and art, and gardening. Jane lives with Reggie the Spoodle.
She loves to spend time with her children and grand-children William, Tom, Sebastian, Stephanie, Saxon and Joshua.
Jen was a medical receptionist and pathology nurse before joining us in July 2001. She has completed Certificates II and III in Veterinary Nursing. She particularly enjoys surgical nursing and working with patients post surgery with their rehabilitation treatment plans.
Jen runs Puppy Preschool classes on Wednesday evenings and also works with Denis McGrory at 4 Paws Dog Obedience.
Jen owns Gus the cat (adopted from the Kitten Adoption Program) and Jax the crazy Labrador! Jen and Mark also have 2 daughters who keep them very busy. With the little time she has left for herself, Jen likes to keep fit by walking Jax to school where he loves playing with all the kids there.
Sarah hails from Ballarat, where she completed her VCE in 2001. She started working with us in November 2002, having been a checkout operator at Safeway in the interim.
Sarah has her Certificate II in Veterinary Nursing from Box Hill Tafe, and her interests include surgical nursing and patient care. Additionally, she manages the Boarding Cattery, Weight Loss Clinic and runs the Post Surgical Rehabilitation Program.
Sarah is married to Ben, has a son named Ethan, and they share their house with Ford, a female cat. Sarah enjoys dancing and reading, and loves to attend musical theatre.
