Waverley Animal Hospital COVID-19 Update to Procedures 22/7/20

In response to the current progressing lock downs and changes in Victorian Government recommendations regarding COVID-19 prevention in the community, the following important changes are taking place at the Waverley Animal Hospital as of the 23/7/2020

AS VETERINARY SERVICES HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN DEEMED AS AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE, WE WILL STILL BE OPEN, AND PROVIDING OUR NORMAL RANGE OF VETERINARY SERVICES

MASKS MUST BE WORN IN THE CLINIC AT ALL TIMES

All staff and clients are required to wear masks when in the clinic.

WE DO NOT HAVE MASKS AVAILABLE FOR CLIENTS, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN.

STRICTLY 1 OWNER PER ANIMAL/FAMILY IS PERMITTED IN THE CLINIC

Only 1 owner may accompany their pet/s into the clinic – if another family member/owner would like to hear what is going on, we would recommend the attending owner call them on their mobile, or use FaceTime or other video calling program to allow them to see and hear what is happening.

OWNERS ARE NOT PERMITTED INTO THE CONSULTATION ROOMS (Except in the case of Euthanasia)

Owners will be asked to stay in the waiting room, where we can apply adequate social distancing measures in a more open space.

The vets will talk to you in the waiting room, and will examine your pet in the consult room with a nurse helping to hold your pet.

Vets will then return your pet to you and discuss findings/treatment plans with you in the waiting room again.

IF YOU DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE COMING INTO THE CLINIC, WE ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SEE YOU IN THE CARPARK

Just let our staff know when you arrive that you would like to be seen in the car park by the vet, and we can then take your pet into the clinic for examination.

IF YOU ARE  – FEELING UNWELL,

– HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR, OR ARE AWAITING RESULTS FOR COVID-19,

– HAVE BEEN IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS  TESTED POSITIVE FOR OR IS AWAITING RESULTS FOR COVID-19

– HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO BE IN HOME ISOLATION

PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC, BUT CALL US SO WE CAN ADVISE YOU ON WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.

CALL THE CLINIC WHEN YOU ARRIVE ON 98079222, AND OUR STAFF WILL ADVISE YOU WHEN YOU CAN COME INTO THE CLINIC

We thank you again for your understanding and patience while we try and find the happy compromise of providing the care and professional service that you have come to expect from the Waverley Animal Hospital, while maintaining safe social distancing measures to provide a safe working environment for our staff and clients.

Kind Regards,

Dr Robbie Andeton
